Verso L'alto

$35.00

Size: 11 inches by 14 inches.

This piece of art was an illustration made to depict a famous image, an image of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati climbing a mountain. On the back of a photo of him climbing he had written the words ‘Verso L’alto’. These words mean ‘toward the top’ or colloquially termed ‘to the heights’. Pier Giorgio lived a life of immense service, to the church and the poor and he very much exemplified one reaching ‘to the top’. This image helps remind me that growing and learning, stretching is often painful but it is also so good. It is an image that both inspires me and forces me to look outside of myself. The illustration here is in monochromatic blues with black/grey and white accents.

Comes unframed.
